something that i've noticed as i've deepened my practice... whether through meditation, Shamanic journeying, or deep somatic surrender - is that at some point these practices (that once birthed from an intention seeded in the mind) become states of being that i, most often, get ushered into quite unintentionally (and involuntarily).
i had one just a few minutes ago - in public, at Little Loaf lol. and yes, i surrendered to it. they come on, not as a thought or a "thing to do because of x circumstance," but energetically and thus somatically.
i can feel them approach, like a curious wind seeking a dance partner; and sometimes, if i'm lucky my guides provide me with a few tidbits of information beforehand to prepare me for the experience ahead. and yes, of course, i can always choose to decline the invitation but i often don't. this is, afterall, what it is to be fully engaged with LIFE and surrender my patterns (and thus my healing), and make space (infinite space) for my unlimited, authentic God-self to emerge.
(and no, it wasn't the cake.)
